10 Awesome Things To Do On A Princess Cruise

10 Awesome Things To Do On A Princess Cruise

today’s video is brought to you by
cruiseline.com and shipmate app did you know you can research and both your
excursions right in the shipmate app click on explore choose your port and
browse excursions by destination it’s super simple to read reviews from real
cruisers and book your activities right in the app hey cruisers i’m sheri with
cruisetipstv and we are onboard a Princess cruise ship and today we wanted
to share our top 10 list of things to do on a Princess cruise this is by no means
an exhaustive list there are dozens if not hundreds more things that you could
do on princess but we thought that this would be a good list to get you started
in the event that you are sailing with Princess soon number one on our list is
to enjoy the entertainment onboard a princess ship from Broadway style shows
two guest talent shows two pop choirs there is so much to do in the evening
and throughout the day on Princess you will find singing dancing and different
acts that the entertainment staff bring onboard for every cruise it’s something
that you really don’t want to miss number two is one of my all-time
favorite things to do on princess it’s a simple thing but it’s complimentary
afternoon tea we absolutely love going to tea on princess from the scones with
cream and jam to the delicate little tea sandwiches and the speedy service trust
me it’s really speedy we just love
afternoon tea and there’s rarely a sea day when we miss it number three is to
attend an enrichment lecture Princess is really good about bringing lecturers on
board to cover topics that are unique to the region you may be sailing to or a
particular topic that interests you so be sure to check your princess patter to
see what’s going on for the day and don’t miss the enrichment lectures
number four if you’re in the mood to just kick back enjoy and relax don’t
forget to visit the spa now I know that when you think about the spa you think
about massages and facials and things like that but there’s so much more that
the princess spas have to offer it they have salons you can get a manicure a
pedicure you can get a keratin hair treatment you can have your hair done
for formal night and perhaps if your ship is equipped with it you can even
get a thermal Spa Pass don’t miss this ball number
five is to attend a future cruise lecture now this may seem like just a
sales pitch right well in some ways it may be but what’s so awesome about these
future cruise lectures is that are generally specific to one part of the
world so for example today when I picked up my princess patter I saw that there
was a future cruise lecture on Japan for 2020 and 2021 so if you want to see a
slide show and hear an expert talk about a particular region you might
find that you can get a ton of information it’s kind of nice to do this
on a ship when you’re in that relaxed vacation mode and you can really soak it
up I think at home we’re running so fast and we don’t get to enjoy those types of
things so be sure to check that out now along the same lines you can also attend
presentations on the destinations that you may be traveling to this is
something that I overlooked until about my 25th cruise and now if I see a
lecture being held by a destination expert I jump all over it because I get
to hear all about the excursions offered the history of the area and most
importantly some insider transportation options from an expert who’s been there
dozens of times I can tell you exactly where to go when you get off the ship
and generally to save some money our number six activity today is movies
under the stars princess loyalists call this months and
movies under the stars is just super awesome unique way to enjoy outdoor
movies I don’t know if you can tell but the ship is moving right now
so located on the pool deck there is generally a giant screen it’s beautiful
beautiful screen where you can sit back and enjoy movies day and night
oftentimes these movies are first-run movies at night or in cooler weather
like in Alaska you might be offered blankets and hot cocoa and popcorn it’s
a wonderful activity to enjoy for people of all ages in a unique environment
where you can gaze at the stars and watch a movie number 7
princess offers a complimentary pub lunch on many of their ships now a pub
lunch is a complimentary British style lunch that Princess loyalists absolutely
love so fish and chips oh my goodness what else do they have honey Scotch eggs
you name it they have so many fun things to choose from and again it’s
complimentary but if you want to buy a Guinness to go with that fish and chips
you will have to pay for that don’t miss the pub lunch it’s a lot of
fun number eight is wine tasting I absolutely love the way that princess
organizes their wine tasting events they generally have a couple of them on each
cruise and they vary a bit in price you’ll find plenty of people on
embarkation day handing out information on the date time and sometimes even the
specific wines that they’re going to share with you the Somali a the maitre d
whomever is leading the event will just blow you away with all of the histories
of every single bottle that they showcase it’s really something that you
don’t want to miss number nine speaking of drinks you definitely want
to try the drink of the day on princess ships
princess does a really good job of discounting a particular drink every day
and one thing that I’ve noticed is that they tried to offer drinks that are
unique to a particular region so for example if you’re cruising to Mexico
they may have a special margarita I saw one here on our Jeff Japan cruise
yesterday called the Mount Fuji something or other but don’t miss the
drink of the day it’s a good way to save a couple of bucks and experience
something new and the bartender probably really loves to share with you alright
number ten is very unique to Princess Cruises and that is to check out the
festivals of the world events on your princess pattern now this is going to
vary based on where you are if you’re in Alaska the festivals of the world event
maybe something about Lumberjacks in Alaska here in Japan maybe some kind of
calligraphy there’s just a ton of different festival of the world
activities that you can look into so look for that little logo in your
princess patter and don’t miss it we hope that you have enjoyed this top ten
princess activities list if you’ve cruised on Princess we are counting on
you to leave your favorite princess activities in the comments below let’s
make this an awesome resource for newer cruisers too princess thanks for
watching in our bumpy stateroom and until next time we’ll see you on the
high seas

I absolutely love sitting on those loungers watching a movie.  We even have had cruises we saw Football games!  I enjoy the wheelhouse bar, sky walkers and relaxing on Princess.  I usually pick Princess when we don't want lots of onboard entertainment and just need a week away from being overloaded.

Excellent video We’ve enjoyed Princess Cruises. The last couple of cruises that we’ve taken have been from the mainland to Hawaii. Princess even had hula and ukulele lessons on the sea days. Keep cruising 🚢

Great video. My favorite is the sanctuary. It's adults only and it's $20 for a half day or $40 for a full day. Great place to spend a sea day and just relax and get waited on.

How about the breakfast or dinner on the balcony. I'm trying it for the first time in 44 days on Golden Princess in Alaska. I'll dress warm but I can't wait to try it.

Very interesting and in many ways unique. Cultural events is something you see more in the luxury segment, or river cruising. We're eyeballing Princess cruises in Alaska, with nice accommodations in Talkeetna. Stock OBC is going to become a nice incentive.

I enjoyed this. I have booked an Alaska Inside Passage for May 2020. This will be my second Alaska rip. The first was in the 1990s so this has given me some ideas on what I can do.

We love having a cocktail, or two, in Cruisers and listening to the piano player in the evening. We really enjoyed the Princess Sea-Land cruise to Alaska. The very remote Copper River resort was very relaxing.

My favorite is the line dancing! While I don't enjoy doing it in the Piazza on the royal class ships in front of everybody and would much rather do it in the Vista Lounge… It's the only time I feel brave enough to dance!

I have watched several of your cruise packing videos and Princess videos. I am a MAJOR over packer.
I am flying and want to pack light. One suitcase for my Husband and I. Princess has a self serve laundry. For a 7 day, could one pack light and do laundry several times or are the machines usually full ? When is the best time for open machines? I don't want to pack light, then be frustrated that I can't do laundry when its convenient for me. Also how dressy are formal nights for Mexican Riveria ? I am attempting to mix and match and only carry one dress shoe.🤯

BTW , I am cruising the Rivera for the first time because of your recommendations from a live stream and vlogs. I choose Princess over NCL because of you. Your Princess videos are awesome!

    Thank you.

I too have been on numerous cruises with 5 different cruise lines including Princess and DISAGREE with the top 10 list presented here. You really think a top 5 best thing to do on a Princess cruise is to attend a future cruise sales lecture? No, its not. Also, the spas on Princess ships can't hold a candle to most other lines. I found the spas small, minimalist dressing/locker rooms with no amenities, and the thermal areas are inside with no views. Even the NCL spas are far better. Enrichment is also somewhat lacking, but I would keep it on the list as they usually have an art history lecture and at least one guest speaker. One of the top 3 things that separates Princess from other lines is the Piazza. Sitting in the Piazza listening to music or ballroom dancing is a special aspect of Princess. Uhhhh, sorry but that should fall in a top 10 over "try the drink of the day". I agree that the shows are wonderful, tea is great, and movies under the stars. Should have definitely replaced some of your selections with Dancing in the Piazza, Dinner at Cagneys and the outdoor exercise classes and jogging trail.
