Canoeing & Kayaking Lessons for Beginners : Canoe Safety & Wind: Beginning Canoeing

On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is
Raymond T. Meyer of Los Island Voyages, Miami, Florida. And this is Ben and Antonio. Today
we’re going to touch on the subject of beginning of canoing and kayaking. A windy day is going
to give you a difficult and frustrating thing for a beginning canoer. So it is a good idea
to stay in protected waters when you are starting to learn the canoe, because it would only
frustrated you trying to maintain your course and speed with a difficult wind to deal with.
Also you have to keep in mind the waves could build while you are in deeper water and this
could become a problem. When they return they are going to have much easier trip because
they be paddling with the wind and the waves. It would make their return trip much easier.
Canoing is a great sport. It could open up a whole new area of the entire environment
and beautiful landscape to visit. But remember always to be aware of your surroundings. Check
your weather. Check with your local operator make sure you do it in a safe responsible
manor. Remember not to drink while you are canoing. It is very important for beginners
because it just adds another difficult aspect that you have to do. So get out there and
enjoy the water. Enjoy your canoe and have a great time. On behalf of expertvillage.com,
thank you for watching.
