MIKE, CAROLINE — ONE WITNESS DESCRIBED PEOPLE GETTING THROWN AROUND LIKE RAG DOLLS WHEN THE FERRY STRUCK ROCKS — LUCKILY OFFICIALS SAY NO ONE WAS SERIOUSLY HURT. It almost felt like it slammed into a building A JOLT FOR COMMUTERS ON BOSTON HARBOR FRIDAY MORNING – It was just a really loud crash and people were kind of like flying all over the place and no one really knew what was going on. EIGHTY FOUR PEOPLE WERE ABOARD THE MBTA FERRY THE LIGHTNING — ALL SHAKEN UP AFTER THE BOAT RAN AGROUND IN ABOUT FIVE FEET OF WATER – THE MBTA SAYS A SPORT FISHERMAN CUT OFF THE FERRY – THE CAPTAIN ATTEMPTING TO AVOID THE COLLISION IN HEAVY FOG – This week has been horrible with the fog. You could not see out the windows. God bless the captain for doing what he was able to do. FOUR PEOPLE WERE HURT WHEN THE BOAT STRUCK THE ROCKS – The lady next to me flung forward on to the ground and I flung forward a little bit but some people really felt the jolt harder than others. One of the ladies up top was bleeding and they had to stabilize her to take her off OFFICIALS ON SCENE SAY ALL FOUR OF THOSE WHO WERE HURT ARE EXPECTED TO BE OK They were all alert they were all talking to us so they were all relatively minor injuries ALL OF THE PASSENGERS SAFELY MADE THEIR WAY TO SHORT. THE BOAT WAS ABLE TO FREE ITSELF RFOM THE ROCKS AND MAKE ITS WAY BACK UNDER ITS OWN POWER.
