why don't tug the ship to dry dockyard or at least calm water area, or try flip the ship back up or at least tilt it up a bit so the cabin area accessible

I don't know if Reporting The Floating Bodies was such a wise thing to do at this point. That could create a frenzy among the relatives of The Children…

what one lifeboat got off the ship this all comes down to lack of training, yes the captain need to be held responsible and any staff that made it off the boat. this is disgusting what a lack of training has caused so many people lives destroyed due to negligence and this company need to be held 100% responsible.

Time to bury the bodies in the sea. I don't mean to sound insensitive so excuse me for saying so. This whole thing is just so sad and it was totally avoidable if the company and the govt had followed regs. But a diver has already lost his life trying to retrieve the bodies. Does this make sense to you guys? A living person sacrificed for a dead one? These family members of the dead are being incredibly selfish. They need to have someone else's son or daughter killed to even the score.
Just FYI, I'm saying this because I am following this case much more closely than most of you and I know what's going on. For example the accident wasn't really an 'accident'. It was caused by overloading the ferry and even before that the ship itself was extremely dangerous due to shoddy mods. Plus the captain and crew were never trained for emergency situations. And plus nobody was even following protocol. Basically the owner of the ferry just wanted to maximize profit while neglecting all safety concerns. You can't put the whole thing on the captain. He was never given the resources to act any differently. Plus he was just a last minute replacement for the real captain — who was on vacation. But the real captain himself said this was just a matter of time because of how un-seaworthy the ferry was.

What she should have said is. " As you can see, we're not stabilizing the ship because we know everyone is dead and that would be a waste of time and energy." This accident was caused by pure negligence, and those responsible will forever be haunted by this event, as they should be.

There a still survivor in sewol when it not fully sunk. There a survivor send a text and post in fb to tell that they still alive. Guess what the media and coastguard HR told that is lie! They so full f**king sh*t. If I one of the family or friends or just in S. Korea of the sewol victim i destroy that camera and hack that broadcasting to see the people how the coastguard lazy to rescue.

They cant pay the lives of the passenger. Its been 3 years now im still mad to them because of that when im going to pool or beach I always got a trigger of sewol ferry victims when i remembering it on pool my body get cold and I can't move my body because of cold. My should not be cold because weather is hot and sunlight is on pool, beach.

Now i felt like when it trigger the sewol ferry victims that trapped in the ship is like I felt in the pool and beach.

    Damn ~… Im serious here

One of the civillian divers who were involved in this took his own life two years after because of the trauma of having to pull dead bodies of high school students out of the wreck. Now that’s horrible

The fact that 304 people died, the government didn’t do anything about it, only citizen divers actually cared, citizens were able to rescue some thanks to their fishing boats (the coast guard ppl tried to even stop them). They could’ve saved more people if they weren’t so stupid, and the captain just ran away, everything about the Sewol Ferry Incident was messed up and it makes me so mad that a bunch of people had to die because of them. They told the passengers to stay put because rescue was coming, but that just killed them. News reports said that they were able to rescue everyone, but in reality a lot of people were still inside the ship, struggling to survive. I watched so many videos of this incident and it just pisses me off how fucked up the government is and how twisted the media can be, the media just manipulated people. They gave out false information that gave hopes to the families. Government said they’ll do whatever it takes to save the remaining people inside the ferry, they said divers will be diving during the night, yet they didnt. The parents saw what was happening during the 24 hours after the ship sunk, the “professional” divers were useless. The citizen divers were more professional than them. It just saddens me that a lot of people, mostly highschool kids, had to die because of the government’s stupidity.

This didn't need to happen if the people should have been responsible from the first place. There were so many things that they could have done at the early stages of the accident and yet they didn't do it. Instead, they ran away.

The South Korean authorities were incompetent. The divers who recovered bodies were civilians. One recovered 25-30 bodies. One of the divers committed suicide 2 years after the tragic event. They said when diving they would come across rooms full of them huddled together while they died.

There's this conspiracy of Cult related sacrifice planned by the corrupt president herself. If that is actually true, it would be so unbearably heartbreaking to think that humans would sacrifice their own kind. Especially young and bright children whom have dreams they want to chase, feelings they want to explore and things they want to experience. Humanity would be beyond saving
