DIY Lighting on an Alweld 1448 ST Jon Boat

DIY Lighting on an Alweld 1448 ST Jon Boat

Hey everybody its bill and I’m kind of
back I’m not fishing tonight tonight I’m just going to show you what I did today did
some more modifications yeah I know it’s been a long time since I felt like doing
anything at all but today my back felt good enough to get out here and play
around in the boat a little bit and see what I could do so what I got is I
ordered some navigation lights there’s the back one and then the front ones up
there it’s red on one side and green on the other that’s how they gotta be and
then I put these LED strip lights in on both sides and they’re pretty bright I
guess you can tell I can see real well inside this boat that’s my cover
wadded-up I got to put it back on when I’m done
making this video so they’re running down through this
groove here and I got them on the top part so they’re kindly pointing down a
little bit I didn’t want them shining straight up into my eyes they’re just
stuck on there and I’ll leave the links down in the
description for if anybody is interested in what where I got these strip lights
and what they are but then I just underneath here in my battery case I’ll
show you how I did this I guess according to do this one-handed
I just zip tied everything down underneath there to this little handle
thing just to keep things data accidentally hit a button or site I
soldered alligator clip something into the wires suck at alligator clips and
then another eyelet though the ones on the directly on the battery terminals or
to my fish finder and then the the one clipped onto the back of how Ernest for
this LED light it looks like a mess but everything’s pretty secure down there and hopefully a my back will cooperate
I’ll be able to do some night fishing now so let me flip you back around
that’s gonna be it for tonight just real quick so we’ll see you next
time hope you all have a great night yourself take care

Like the idea of the LED's in the side channels….I've mounted an LED under the forward platform facing the stern which lites up the center open section of the floor….I'm now thinkin' a multi colored LED in the channel might be a nice touch….Thanks 4 the Tip!!

Your back would have broke on the Truckee with our broken straps. This is really cool. We have them on the magic bus. The led lights out side on our awning. I love them. They don’t seem to bring in the bugs so bad
