How to Paint Boat Cabinets Furniture Door Wet Edge Trick Pettit EZ Poxy Marine

So here’s a little movie about how to paint a boat. As you can see, this is a gorgeous Chris Craft yacht, and I’m doing the back cabin top, and they always say, to paint it, feather into a wet edge. So, how do you do that? Well, first of all, you take a little roller and a little pan, and you put a proper amount of paint on the roller, not too much, not too little, and then you roll it out about, possibly a foot long, while the other side, this is side is wet over here, but this one is, make that a strip about a foot wide, and then you take a brush, and then you have to get up here, and you feather it back into the wet paint, just like that. And you do that all the way down the boat, and you’ll never run out of a wet edge as long as you don’t stop for a beer or something in the middle of it. So that’s what it means to be, feather into a wet edge. This is Pettit EZ Poxy, semi gloss marine paint, and it is wonderful. Okay, thanks. Closed Captioning by Kris Brandhagen. [email protected]

Great video. There are hundreds of videos on YouTube trying to explain how to paint your boat with a roller and brush, but this one shows the actual process better than all of them.
