HOW WE FIND A SILVER LINING & MINI ADVENTURES IN EVERYDAY LIFE – VLOG #18

so hubby and I we are on this little picnic boat ride…mini adventure we really like to have those little curated moments in our everyday life. Doesn’t matter if it’s this, or picking fresh flowers from the forest and decorate the dinner table with or if it’s buying some delicious nuts & seeds over the breakfast cereal just looking at what you have around you and making the best of it and make these little I would call them mini adventures. Because sometimes the word adventure it’s only always used for this big things (in life) but I think an adventure it could be like sleeping in a tent in your backyard or… like what we are gonna do when our house is ready, the balcony, that we’re building right now we’re gonna sleep outside so it’s gonna be “glamping” from home, camping but like a glamorous camping; “glamping” I think that’s a great thing, and also, if you didn’t watch my last video about my zero vacation I am going to link it somewhere here, we’re still here on Zero Island, go on a vacation close to home and enjoy whatever is in your neighborhood, you don’t have to travel far or it doesn’t have to be expensive just to on an adventure or explore life and the world around you. So that’s what we like to do Right hubby, behind the camera…. Hubby; of course And sometimes it’s just like “whatever is in your fridge” make a sandwich, take some coffee or whatever you like to drink. and just take a picnic basket and go up the hill and watch the sunset or the sunrise if you’re an early bird and that’s pretty much what we’re doing. And sometimes, I don’t have statistics on this, but sometimes it feels like people know more about other countries than they know about their own country or even their own neighborhood. We talked about this hubby and I right? Hubby: yeah! And I mean there are so much to explore and every moment in life is pretty much what you make of it. I mean, you could have like a boring yoghurt morning breakfast plate, but you could also pick wild flowers (to decorate with). just find those places and moments. And for us, that’s applicable for us as well. There have been times when we’ve been like “no, let’s not go down this road because it doesn’t lead anywhere”. And then we’re like, “well let’s just park here anyway and go around the hill or to the backside of whatever (it is)”. And then there’s like this beautiful meadow or this little hill or something else that’s really beautiful. So you never know what’s behind the next turn in your neighborhood. I really, really encourage you to do that. Because it’s cheap, it’s usually pretty environmentally friendly because you don’t have to take the plane or do anything, it’s just right there basically. And also, if you’re alone or like me; I don’t have a drivers license, or if you’re like me and you have different illnesses, or you have some disabilities or something, it’s much easier to go on vacation or mini adventures close to where you live. That’s a little passion of mine, just exploring the area where I live, exploring Sweden, making those small moments, make a cozy picnic somewhere, it doesn’t matter where. Your mindset will it great or your mindset will make it not so great. Hubby; And turn of the “freeway thingy” in the GPS. Yeah that’s such good advice! *Laughing* The “freeway thingy”, what he means by that, is that… When we’re traveling somewhere, it doesn’t matter where, it could be hubby’s parents the live like 2-3 hours away from us. So instead of going in the highway, the big road, when you just travel it’s about going as fast as you can from A to B. And then basically then, you see nothing. Because the highways, they don’t show the area where you are at, at all basically. But if you turn off the “don’t take the highway”, at least for us you can check that box in the GPS and it will show you other routes to where ever you’re going. And you can even check them (the roads) In Sweden, the higher the number the smaller the roads. So like E4 that’s a big road. But if it’s like C284 then that’s gonna be a small road. So do that and you’ll explore your neighborhood for sure. If you liked this video, and you want to see more of our little adventures Please give me a “tumme up” (thumbs up) and subsribe if you haven’t. Until I see you next time; Puss & Kram! (kiss & Hug in Swedish)

Mini adventures and exploring are so necessary to rejuvenate the soul. I am always avoiding the freeways and taking the back roads…less stressful and so much more to see! Great video! Looking forward to the opening of your online store. It's looking very good. 😊💗

That's a lovely message, Maria. I really enjoy your view of a healthy mindset. I'm a big fan of "staycations". I've been taking time off from work after work trips and just enjoy the city, go to museums, try new restaurants. It's been a great way to disconnect and as you said, the mini-adventure is what we make out of it. Great video! 🙂

Agreed! I took a day tour with a bunch of tourists and when I told them I live in the city they looked at me funny, as though tour buses are only for outsiders. nope! explore!.
