Kids Kingfishing

Jeremy: We are on our way out to catch some
bait, and we lost a hat so we had to stop. JJ: It was the donuts.
Jeremy: That’s never happened before, has it? JJ: Hey, we saved the donuts though. Jeremy: We have the donuts. I kind of get to the point, where I don’t even want to stop. I am just like, you loose your hat, oh well. You learned your lesson, hold on to it next time. I mean, come on people,
hold on to your hats. You saw the twin 300’s on the back of our boat. What did you expect?
We are going to be going fast. But in this case, it was my dad’s hat and it’s my dad’s
boat and I am his son. So, if my dad tells me to turn the boat around to get his hat,
I do it. Let’s go. So any ways, we had two young guys fishing
with us today, Cody and Charlie. JJ: Ok, so this is your first trip out?
Cody: Yeah, this is my first trip out deep sea fishing, but I go fishing a lot. Jeremy: As usual we went out and found some pogeys, caught some, loaded up and headed
out to the spot. We headed out to the Southeast hole where we heard there had been some good
bite. It’s only a couple miles off the beach. It’s a good area to fish. We really like it
for kings when they are in there. So we started there. We quickly put out baits and it wasn’t
long before we had some fish on. You know if you get too many sharks it could be a bad
sign if you’re not getting any kingfish. And looking at the water, it was dirty. It was
kind of after a storm we had, a tropical storm. I think it was all stirred up and it didn’t
look fishy, not for kingfish. So we decided to move on. We started trolling around some
artificial wrecks and we would see bait schools we would go around them. Cody and Charlie
did a great job fishing. They are pretty young guys, pretty small and we have big rods. We
had some pretty good sized sharks on but they were doing good. They were working together
as a team, helping each other, sometimes holding the rod and reeling, moving around the boat.
They did really good job, so I was pretty impressed. We even had one shark, it was a
big old shark and me and Cody and Charlie all triple tagged teamed him and he eventually
broke through the leader. It was light leader for kings. JJ: Oh no, tell me he didn’t get off. Jeremy: He was probably, I don’t know around
8 foot. We got a glimpse of him down deep. He later came by the boat. He was a big old shark. It was a pretty good time though. It wasn’t too rough or anything, a nice ride
out, a little ways offshore but not too bad, you could still see land. I think the boys
did really good. They caught some fish. They fought them pretty good, worked together. We did have a little king on which was pretty cool. The moral of today’s video is 1, hold
on to your hat and 2, take a kid fishing or two kids. It was a lot of fun having them,
you know you have kids, have a family, take them fishing. It’s a lot of fun. Get them
started, get them hooked on fishing, not on drugs. I think that was the saying back when
I was in school. So stayed tuned for more videos, especially now in the heat of the
summer. We got a lot more action coming. If you would like to get weekly updates, just subscribe to our channel. Thanks for watching everyone. See you next time.
