Lake Cumberland boat trip

Lake Cumberland What a fun trip! We drove where we wanted to, except we had to tie off on the shore every night. We drove where we wanted to, except we had to tie off on the shore every night. Look at the map. We are close to Cemetery Island. Ohoy, there! Water depth averaged from 90-120 feet deep. Swimming was great! People were friendly and always waved when going by them. Of course, we wanted to get away from people at night and get into the land of Sasquatch. Someone in this video was deathly afraid of Sasquatch, but we didn’t see a one. 🙁 But I am not naming names. EBONY! We all had a blast. I managed a bit of writing. Even if it rained The boat was large enough to stay inside. The boat had a t.v. in every room. There were seven cabins to sleep in. A water slide in the back. I only needed a drivers license to drive the boat! There were said to be a lot of snakes on the shore but I couldn’t find a one… except that I did find a snake skin where it had molted. My boy thought that was cool! And we put it in a bag and now can’t get rid of it… The bugs weren’t bad at all, surprisingly. It is good we came prepared. Did I mention we had a heated hot tub? The water comes from the lake, filtered. We can pump it out and get fresh if we need too. WE didn’t need to…we are that good. What was that noise? Sasquatch shaves this time of year perhaps that is why we didn’t see him? Or her. Here is the slide from the top of the boat. My Mother-In-Law arranged the life jackets so they were all in a row… God bless her heart. She made this trip possible and paid for it in its entirety. It wasn’t nearly as expensive as it was worth as I see it. It was very much worth it. The boys didn’t even touch their electronics until we sat and watched movies at night. I think we came together as a Family a little bit more. Way better than Disney World when it comes to that! In my mind this trip was meant to be a measure of thankfulness for the life of my son who survived many surgeries against the odds. I think this vacation grounded me, brought me closer to our planet, but perhaps most of all I am glad my In-Law’s didn’t kill me!
