One week canoe trip at Bandak (Norway)

One week canoe trip at Bandak (Norway)

Wow, what a light. After 200 meters, turn right. Beer? Yeah! 9:30 AM That´s *** good! Now we say some magic words … … simsalabim … … I wish that everything that is on the trailer … goes to the landingstage. Hey, it worked! See ya later. Beer? Yeah, would be nice. So. We´ve deserved this one. (approaching a rifle range) One more to be sure. That doesn´t look too bad. Jammie. It tastes delicious. [..eh..uh..what´s this? Where am I?] Wilbert … – yeah … Beer? Jammie! Beer -beer -beer -beer -beer -beer … …that´s a sixpack. So, that was a considerable … … considerable trip. I had to pull out all the stops. Hè? I had to pull out all the stops. You flew like a rocket. Don´t kidding me. What else do ya want? Beer? Hey bush witch … … Wilbert, you wanna play outside? Ikke (means no) That´s going to be the damper … … for our cheese fondue, this evening. That´s what ya call a damper. This one is okay. No idea how it will taste. But it won´t harm. Waldorf and Waldorf. They are from the Muppets, aren´t they? They are sitting on the balcony. This is where the pancakes will be cooked on. Brrr, this is *** cold mate. Perhaps you enjoy it, but I don´t. Some good advises and house rules. Is it open? No. Beer? Why not. Is my back wet? Yes. Cheers mate. We deserved it. That was a very steep … … 3,5 kilometer. And back also. But …, first things first. That rafter … …that screws it. You can do something about it. Remove it? No, go and stand at the other side. I reckon these sheep have a good life, … compared with the Dutch sheep. Stray around, go where ever they like. We´ve found some meat for the barbie. It was not that easy… … but we´ve found some. Enough for two days. Also sufficient in case we get unexpected company. You never know. The only challenge was to muster them … … and to drive them to our camp, to the barbie. But Wilbert is very skilled … … so, no worries. That one has a full udder. So we have some milk tonight. A beaver! He´s under water now. O Jeesuz … That was an adventure. To the other side. It´s going allright. Ride the waves, mate. The wave riders. Look. We´ve paddled 45 mins to almost an hour … … with towering waves to get here. We set up our camp, the sun breaks through, and look what happened… …where are the waves gone? Typical Bandak. What do ya say? Yeah, Cape of Good Hope. [Hans is telling we still have forward speed, despite the severe wind. ] At this moment I´m doing fine, Hans. Now I´ve the feeling that I´m getting forward. Is that already the Strauman over there? Y´re kidding! There´s a lot of wind over there. It´s all blowing through that gap. At least we go downstream. Wilbert? What? The beergarden is open. Two beers. And fried chips. With peanut sauce. O, Eddie and Freddie are also coming in … … so make it FOUR beer. And some hot snacks. I´m amazed that you could make this turn. Now you can go back. Hey neighbor, I here? You sleep well? Mwah. Restless parkingplace. People opening and closing car doors all the time.

Geweldige trip mannen. Niks mooiers dan met een maat de wildernis in trekken. Die driepoot ziet er trouwens wel handig uit; loop zelf altijd een beetje te klooien met een roostertje. Waar heb je die vandaan?

Hey again dear canoexperts. Do you always start at Kviteseid and make a right-turn to Bandak?

hmmm.. why did you take E6 ? its extremely boring from helsingborg to the norwegian border.. like 8 hours on a straight road , i think i would prefer driving to northern denmark and then take the ferry over to sandefjord in norway i believe it is… just my opinion
