U.S. Coast Guard Divers, Australian Divers Conduct Supply Diving Training

ROYAL AUSTRALIAN NAVY DIVERS AND U.S. COAST
GUARD DIVERS ARE CONDUCTING SURFACE SUPPLY DIVING TRAINING WITH MOBILE DIVING AND SALVAGE
UNIT ONE. THE EXPERIENCE THAT WE’RE GETTING FROM THOSE
GUYS IS QUITE EXTRAORDINARY. IT’S UNIQUE TO WHAT WE DO IN THE FIELD AND THAT WILL BLEND
WHEN WE GET BACK TO AUSTRALIA. THIS SETUP THAT WE’VE GOT HERE IS DIFFERENT TO WHAT WE
USE. IT’S UNIQUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS TWO DIVERS ON THE STAGE BEING LOWERED DOWN AND
IT WILL BE SOMETHING THAT WE TAKE BACK. THIS IS HUGE FOR US TO BE OUT HERE WITH THE
GUYS THAT DO IT EVERYDAY ALL THE TIME AND ARE REALLY GOOD AT IT. IF WE EVER WERE TO
COME OUT HERE FOR A CATASTROPHIC EVENT THIS WOULD BE AWESOME. WE’VE ALREADY WORKED WITH
THEM BEFORE SOMETHING THAT WE’VE ALL EXPERIENCED SO IT’S A GREAT THING, A GREAT TOOL TO TAKE
HOME. ‘ FROM HAWAII, I’M PETTY OFFICER ANDERSON BOMBJARDIN.
