Some of these sound effects were used in Star Trek.

This film gets knocked a lot but besides the cut scenes used to "Americanize" it some of the props & sets were quite well done! The Jetsons Space Car, the astronauts (Cosmonauts?) space suits & interior of the ship are a cut above anything else from this era. The Robot "John" (besides having the fattest a$$ ever seen on a movie robot) is one of the best I've ever seen! I've lost track of how many times I've watched this film. One of my favorite scenes is when they're under water…..and they encounter the Bearded Octopus!! 43:49

Это советский фильм "Планета Бурь" (1961). Никакой он не американский.

This was actually not a bad movie. Some of the landscape shots with the rocks on the ground looked eerie similar to the Venera 13 probe video feed of the surface of Venus. In reality however, the surface temperature on the planet is around 864 degrees "F" and an astronaut standing on the surface would not only vaporize but before that, he would also feel the atmospheric pressure like standing 3000 feet below the surface of an ocean, but with those extreme hot temperatures, all standing water would be boiled away. Scientists do believe however, that perhaps 2 billion years ago, the surface conditions might have allowed a cooler and a more stable atmosphere to support liquid rivers and oceans. The movie could have been more believable if the astronauts encountered a time warp while orbiting near Venus and sent back in time a couple of billion years. Oh well, I still enjoyed the movie though.

excellent movie, I think Stanley Kubrik must have taken ideas from here to make his movies, especially for 2001 space odyssey, like the part of the robot that has to eliminate weight

This was a Russian made movie bought by Roger Corman who reedited it and inserted cuts of Basil Rathbone and Faith Domergue in the place of the some of the Russian actors. Original "Planeta Bur" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oz2vjciA9_s
